Lesbians are distinguished with a Lavender Icon.They can also represent bi-women or Queer. Her bottom half is a plug, her chest is a coat of honor, her head is a swirl for infinite respect for diversity. Only people or organizations should use this symbol if they have infinite respect for diversity. So when you read our calendars and you see a business or event that says LOO, you know it's lesbian owned 50% or more. I know, Genius. ;-)    LOO Minimum 50%+   as self-described. Lavender (Lavender) Owned and / Or Operated (Self described) (Franchise owners are considered LREP's (Lesbian representative of an organization).  The vision is, wouldn't it be cool to walk up to a business door and see our icon and you know you are supporting a lesbian- or woman-owned business? (I think so.) Knowing they are gay friendly and committed to respect for diversity?  WOO Minimum 50%+ Women Owned and / Or Operated. (LGBTQ Friendly) (Franchise owners are considered WREP's)  LREP Lavender (Lesbian) Operated representative  of a company (Self described).    WREP Woman representative  of a company. (LGBTQ Friendly) (Includes Franchise owners)    GOO Minimum 50%+ Gay (Lavender) Owned and / Or  Operated (Self described)  (Franchise owners are considered LREP's)      G-REP Gay (Lavender) representative  of a company (Self described).    We aim to be sensitive to all the LGBTQ community.  Our sites (GPN, PPN, AND & GPL ) focus on the women identified women of the complicated LGBT Community. However, to un-complicate it, we don't have a separate category for Trans, they are in where they are self described. If a trans male identifies with being a woman or lesbian, that is where they are categorized. We only have this girl code and identities so in a straight world we know where we can focus support to our people, like a lesbian or Gay owned bar and the people who support us. We are always happy to review this thinking. Originally the idea was to help companies looking to increase their diversity program. With Girlpages we didn't want a whole complicated program just a way to support women in business.   AND Alliance Network Directory This directory is in the works. The red map marker with the = equal sigh signifies Gay and diversity friendly businesses. (Other markers are already defined).  Now that times have changed, why not work to support business welcoming the gay community? So if you want organize a lesbian wedding or travel you can count on a welcoming greeting.    Map Markers. When you see the map, it will all make sense. The "PPN" Markers signify a Gay pride or major gay event' found on "PridePlanner.com" Network. Basically parties for the girls and boys.
